The profession I have chosen in the Police Law Enforcement category of criminal justice is a Drug Enforcement Administration agent. This job requires dealing with all major drug offenders, such as drug trafficking and major drug trades. DEA agents work for the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, and their mission is to eliminate the use and sale of drugs in the United States. The duties of a DEA agent change based on the current drug issues. Some of the duties that an agent may be asked to perform include investigating new drugs emerging in communities, or gathering evidence for a case. Various agents are also sent undercover to accumulate information on expected drug leaders. Additionally agents have the job of transporting potentially dangerous suspect and carrying out arrests. Applicants for a position as a DEA agent must hold a Bachelor s degree in something relevant to the criminology field, such as criminal justice. People who are considered most qualified have a Master s degree in a field that gives them experience in a special skill, such as â€Å"piloting, accounting and auditing, information systems, and fluency in an in-demand foreign language† (DEA Agent). While the requirement for a DEA Agent is a grade point average of 2.95 or higher, most agents graduate with near-perfect GPA’s. Andy Warhol, born Andrew Warhola on August 6, 1928, was one of the most successful artists within the pop art movement. At the age of 8, Warhol was diagnosed with a rare, sometimes fatal, disease named Chorea. Also known as St. Vitus’s dance, a neurological disorder that is characterized by jerky involuntary movements affecting especially the shoulders, hips and face. Warhol, was left bedridden of several months, however during these months was when he found out about his talent for drawing. Later in life, Warhol attended Schenley High School, and graduated in 1945, he then enrolled at Carnegie Mellon University, which was once, Carnegie Institution for Technology, to study pictorial design. After graduating from college in 1949,with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Warhol moved to New York City to chase a career as a commercial artist. For some people, happiness is easy to obtain and for others, it is a work in progress. It can be argued that in order for the average person to be happy they must make the American dream of a cushy job/job security, a lot of money, a huge savings account with thousands of dollars, a trophy wife or husband, a big house with a two or three car garage and two or three well behaved children a reality. Ironically, there are those who have a different definition of the American dream that have absolutely nothing to do with the aforementioned but they still manage to live well and wake up in a good mood every day. Happiness is what we create for ourselves. However, no matter what a person does, they will never be completely happy because there is always going to be something that is going to derail that happiness.
